Welcome to Sobo Hounds. Firstly, thanks for taking the time to check out our site. We hope you'll soon be one of our very happy customers.
Our story began in 2017, when our head honcho Dan first set up our sister company Urban Hounds London – an Islington-based doggy daycare and dog boarding business in London. Five years later, and after many happy trips to the Dorset coast, Dan decided to set up Sobo Hounds to bring his love for dogs and passion for friendly and reliable canine care to the Southbourne area.

We've built our entire business on two key beliefs:

We always want to be the best we can be – We're continuously educating ourselves to keep our doggy knowledge fresh by sourcing expert literature, working closely with dog trainers, and taking part in professional courses, seminars and workshops.
Our business has predominantly grown through word of mouth and valued recommendations from our respected clients and partners. We pride ourselves on working on a smaller scale, in order to provide and maintain a more focused relationship and rapport with both pup and owner.
We treat your dog like one of our own
With an abundance of dog handling experience and a solid understanding dog behaviour and training, we carefully craft schedules; structured for your canine companions needs, from: exercising, basic training, learning social skills/dog etiquette and just as importantly having fun through close supervision and personal interaction.
Our days are conscientiously structured in order to provide appropriate periods of exercise and rest, according to your dog’s requirements. Puppy schedules will also be monitored and adapted according to age, breed and size; so there is no risk of overexertion.
From the morning pickup to the doggy taxi home, our aim is to keep you updated on your companion's day, leaving you with the peace of mind and assurance that your dog is happy, having fun, and being well looked after.
